Actify is a free platform offered in partnership with gov.scot, providing digital content to the Scottish population with the premise to encourage people of all ages and skill levels to become more active. This client project involved usability testing, a complete re-brand of the Actify website, the creation of a new registration flow, and the re-design of user profiles. Figma was used to create initial wireframes in addition to a final high-fidelity prototype.

Goals

  • Enhance existing user registration flow with the addition of a personalised questionnaire/data capture

  • Revamp Actify profiles and distinguish between practitioners and regular users

  • Collate feedback on the existing platform design

Making exercise fun.

The new Actify website needed to inspire movement and encourage physical literacy amongst the platform’s broad range of users. For example, the homepage was simplified and made more engaging with the use of playful imagery and more explicit calls to action (see animation below for before/after).
